  To Christmas or Not to Christmas (inspired by Watersprout's DA thread)

  my wife and kid want to do christmas but i don't.

  i am not against it but i have no reason to celebrate the holiday.

  i'll get the kid some presents, and maybe my wife, but is that alone really "celebrating christmas?

  Not! I refuse to be dragged in just because 'everybody else is doing it'. I don't need anybody telling me what to do after years of it. Christmas can take a running jump as far as I'm concerned,the music is rubbish,people are so false at that time of year,a tree??? why the hell would I want a tree in my living room??????????? bog off there's plenty outside.

  And presents,well I can give them all year round and see genuine surprise on the recipiants face rather than a false ..oooooo I like that kinda thing.

  i find that i have done it quite a bit in my life.

  We changed the words to 'Merry Xmas Everybody' by Slade to......not sure if I can remember it now,but it was something like this.

  Are you putting your bibles in your bag?

  So here it is the new system,everybodys having fun,

  Look to the future now it's only just begun

  Well,proper senior moments,I can't remember the rest.....good job really,I was feeling slightly nauseous after that.

  Where was the last assembly you attended?

  we last went to one in 2006 - it was the channel islands.

  can't remember whether it was jersey or guernsey as they alternate, have been to both as we went to the channel islands in 2005 too.

  Ha,Imp.....mine was 2007and it was Guernsey,so you went to crappaud land.................er I mean jersey. We left Guernsey for Wales late 2007. I only went on the Sunday.
